Because Illinois doesn’t have any other problems, Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed into law SB 556 — the Equitable Restrooms Act, making it a crime for even small businesses to label customer’s bathrooms as being for Men or Women. The legislation requires all single-occupancy restrooms in “places of public accommodation” to be labeled as gender-neutral.
Crime, homicides, record deficits, homelessness, business leaving the State, high-taxes – whatever..
For the past four years, Nordstrom has lobbied with Chicago Restroom Access Project (CRAP) and the Pride Action Tank of Chicago to pass legislation that would ensure gender-neutral toilets.
Democratic state senator Melinda Bush of Grayslake and state rep Sam Yingling, Democrat of Round Lake Beach, were joined by 15 other Democratic lawmakers in sponsoring SB 556. In a statement, Yingling claims the legislation’s passage “will ensure that every resident in Illinois, regardless of gender identity, is able to use a single-occupancy restroom without fear of discrimination.”
why do women stand for this (pardon the pun)??? This makes public restrooms much, much worse for them

Here’s part of the law:
(b) This Section applies to any existing or future places of public accommodation or public buildings.
(c) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, every single-occupancy restroom in a place of public accommodation or public building shall be identified as all-gender and designated for use by no more than one person at a time or for family or assisted use. Each single-occupancy restroom shall be outfitted with exterior signage that marks the single-occupancy restroom as a restroom and does not indicate any specific gender.
(d) During any inspection of a place of public accommodation or public building by a health officer or health inspector, the health officer or health inspector may inspect the place of public accommodation or public building to determine whether it complies with this Section.
Some places “of public accommodation,” as defined by the Illinois Human Rights Act: movie theaters, restaurants, concert halls, grocery stores, hotels, clothing stores, and laundromats. In other words, the places where predators are safer now. Thanks, Gov!
Men identifying as women have been using the Ladie’s bathroom for hundreds of years and no one – I mean no one – has cared, until white liberals got involved and decided all men of all stripes should be not have to look at the word “MENS” or “LADIES” signs on bathroom doors without having an emotional fit. Conversely, we’ve all been in a nightclub where the line for the Women’s is a mile long and a few girl’s use the Men’s – usually while other men are making sure it’s safe for them to do so.
Males who identify as female do NOT want your help, liberals. You are only serving to bring attention to something that’s been going on since Christ walked the earth and it’s the last thing anybody wants.
Any idea how much it’s going to cost businesses and government to change all the signs and install men’s stand-up toilets in every john? Don’t worry, Illinois has plenty of money to throw around. I guess the governor must have a lot of bathroom contractors as donors?
Supporters say compliance with the bill wouldn’t be burdensome for businesses: all restaurants and stores would have to do is replace the “male” and “female” signs on their single-stall restrooms with ones stating the facilities are open to everyone.
… not that they’ve ever owned or operated a business.
