The U.S. National Women’s Soccer Team Has a Message for you: ‘Pay Us, Bitch’

“Pay Us, Bitch” – That’s front and center from the good sports and highly lauded members of the women’s (can I still say that?) U.S. Soccer National Team World Cup Champions. They are quite the role models if you ask me – at the top of their games and the center of attention. This is their message to you and other aspiring females, athletes, whatever: “Pay Us, Bitch”

28 players of the team filed a lawsuit against U.S. soccer in May. The suit was filed in LA under the Equal Pay Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and alleged gender-based discrimination by the U.S. Soccer Federation.

But as reported, the reason there is a pay gap between the men and the women is that the men bring in many more fans, and millions of dollars more in revenue than the women’s soccer. The pay gap is about economics, not gender bias.

In the video, midfielder Allie Long is also seen stuffing one of the pages into her mouth. While Long is chewing, Harris says, “Pay us bitch.”

The U.S. Women’s team turned their World Cup appearance into a politics with constant broadsides against the president, and making numerous political proclamations such as protesting about “equal pay.” Team co-captain Megan Rapinoe also refused to place her hand over her heart and sing the American national anthem.

Remember this ladies:

Colin Kaepernick watched his movement of disrespecting the national anthem being given the death knell at the Super Bowl last Sunday.

No players from the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots knelt or sat while the national anthem was played during the Super Bowl. What was worse, was that the two teams had not participated at all in the Kaepernick protests.

Also worth noting is that none of the teams that reached the playoffs had participated in his nonsense either. They kept their eye on the ball! The severely unemployed Kaepernick and his movement are done!

Many Americans were very proud to see that Super Bowl players avoided controversy and stood proudly for their country.

After a tumultuous season that featured a decline in ratings partially due to NFL players and teams  protesting injustice and inequality during the national anthem, America got to enjoy a Super Bowl devoid of ungrateful players insulting the mythical “troops” and the long-dead corpse of Francis Scott Key by kneeling during “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Unless the NFL is just trying to commit suicide, there will be no more protests next year.

Last season, Kaepernick, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, set off a national debate when he knelt during the national anthem before games, as a way to shine a light on police violence and racial injustice. Following the 2016 season, Kaepernick has been a free agent, given none of the 32 NFL teams have decided to sign him.

In addition to protesting the anthem and disrespecting our flag, Kaepernick has made it clear that his decision to protest the anthem was political.

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick told NFL Media in Aug. 2016 after a game.

He added: “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

Following his lead, hundreds of NFL players knelt during the anthem this past season. It resulted in many patriotic Americans making it unequivocally clear they weren’t going to support a league that apparently endorsed the degradation of a national symbol.

The political reality is this:

The league consists of a largely conservative group of owners and, according to polls, a majority of fans who did not support the actions of Kaepernick. One poll suggested that some fans watched less football last season because of the anthem protest, which spread to a handful of other players, helping push down television ratings over all.

Colin Kaepernick proved the catastrophic consequences during his last season as an employed quarterback. Goo look at the stats. The more he concentrated on how much he hated America, law enforcement, the National Anthem and the flag…

And the less he concentrated those moments before the game began on how he could accomplish the task, do well, and win….

His playing ability deteriorated.

The 49ers did not release him from contract only because of the headache he was causing in the media, he was failing at his job.

And the hundreds of other players and coaches followed that lead as well…NONE of them making it to the Super Bowl.

I am all for the freedom of speech.

I value our 2nd Amendment rights, which were not designed for puppy dogs and daffodils, but for items not everyone approves of.

But the case is now clear. Do not protest on your employer’s time clock. Protest on your own time.

The NFL lost a lot of money and an even bigger amount of respect because of what Kaepernick started. The reverberations went far. The stands were empty and the televised ratings tanked. Merchandise suffered and the broadcasters like ESPN and ABC suffered.

Colin Kaepernick broke football and he broke the NFL, and for what? It was not even a protest, it was a 3 minute antic on his employer’s time.

He wasn’t brave enough to stand out on the street for hours and hours holding a sign or mega-phone. Kaepernick wanted the easy way out. He accomplished absolutely nothing but to make himsde

You see, it is really as simple as that. Colin Kaepernick, you took your eye off the ball…

Don’t they teach you that basic concept in Pee Wee Football the very first day?

Then a bunch of morons followed his lead. They took their teams to defeat in a big way:

None of the NFL teams that publicly knelt in protest even make it to the playoffs…
