Matt Damon Proves He’s the Most Honest Man in Hollywood

Matt Damon believes that fracking will make the water in your tap catch on fire. Doesn’t make it true – in fact, it’s complete BS, but he believes it – so in his mind, it’s true. I make this distinction because so often nowadays people claim that when you make a mistake or say something that’s not true – you’re lying.

Not true, necessarily.

It’s only when you knowingly say something which isn’t true or you don’t believe, or when you leave a critical detail out – that you’re lying. Here are some examples: “You can keep your doctor”; “I did not have sex with that woman”; “Benghazi was caused by a Youtube video”; “If (Bush, Trump, Obama, etc.) is elected President, I’m leaving the country…”

Lying is not misquoting someone, or saying there’s 57 States by mistake, or while being grilled by the FBI for 8 hours you screw up and contradict yourself – anyone could do that – doesn’t make you a liar. But I’ll tell you who’s not a liar: Matt frikin’ Damon, baby.

The New York Post is reporting that Matt Damon is moving his family to Australia — because the star of many a Harvey Weinstein film is fed up with President Trump. I for one applaud Matt Damon for putting his travelers checks where his mouth is. AUSTRALIA?? You know what that means…

According to Sydney’s Sunday Telegraph, the star of any number of films with the name “Bourne” in them, which feature semi and full-automatic weapons, mass-killings, murder of innocents and guilty alike – yet do not influence the minds of children whatsoever – bought property down under next door to Chris Hemsworth — with whom Damon recently appeared in “Thor: Ragnarok.”

My god, did you see the first “Thor” movie? It sucked. It really stunk on ice. Let me put it to you this way: I saw it on an airplane and it was so bad I walked out (Bob Hope, 1961). I’m sure this sequel will be a whooole lot better though, don’t worry. Matt Damon is in it after all.

Anywhoozer – a lot of Hollywood types have threatened us with leaving the U.S. if George W. Bush won, or if Donald J. Trump won and nobody left. By the way – forget how stupid that is for a moment and think about it for a second logically (liberals, you can go make a sammich):

If an actor DID move out of the country, how would you even know? And if you did know, how would it effect you? I mean, the only time you see them is on TV or in a movie, right?

Doesn’t Johnny Depp live in France? Yet, I see him on DirectTV constantly. So even if Alec Baldwin or Whoopi Goldberg was serious about leaving the country, would it even matter to people who loved them? It’s not like anyone sees them at the dry cleaners or something. Really stupid guys, you gotta think these things through.

Anywhoozits, Matt Damon is a different story. Honest to the core… except for one little detail – I even hate to bring this up because I’m so thrilled to read about his new life in Australia where there are no guns for his security guards to protect his family like he has here – but then again, there’s no crime down there as a result of the gun confiscation. None. zip. No crime. Nada. The Aussies listen to their protesting high schooler’s, buddy.

But: Isn’t Matt Damon privy to decades of the whole Harvey Weinstein, Ben Affleck, Quentin Tarrantino, serial sexual harassment, assault situation – involving dozens if not hundreds of victims, including Uma Thurman – who recently started naming names?

By the way – that whole deal kinda went away quick – didn’t it? Did Matt ever get charged – I don’t think so and I hope not, but has he ever come forward and denounced his fellow actors and producers? Haven’t heard much except him saying this gem about the movement:

“The #MeToo allegations should be judged on a spectrum of behavior…”
— Matt Damon on ABC

Whaaaaaaat?

In other words, if you don’t normally rape, grope, harass, or pressure desperate women into having sex – you should be given a pass when you’re in the power position? Sex crimes should be considered as a ‘body of work’ or ‘spectrum’ of your life or career? Was that Jason Bourne speaking or is Matt Damon truly the most honest man in Hollywood? I say the latter.

It’s refreshing. Repulsive, disgusting, ignorant, misogynistic, stupid, moronic, pathetic, onry, gross – but nonetheless – refreshing.

In a world where Meryl Streep makes it to the top, then hangs out with Harvey Weinstein, whom she knows is raping other up-and-comers, then gives a child rapist a standing ovation at the Oscars, then pisses and moans about sexual harassment as only an actress with her talent could – it’s nice to hear the unvarnished Hollywood male-dominated truth once in a while anyway.

Thanks Matt.

Have a great life and watch out for those big-ass crocs and knives!
