“For me to be an effective congressman over the next two years it is important for me to be on the side of the elected speaker.”

— Mia Love, explaining why she voted for John Boehner after a long campaign deriding him

That’s good, Mia, because two years is exactly how long you’ll be there if I have anything to say about it. You are on the side of the “elected” Speaker? He wasn’t “elected” before you and a bunch of other sell-outs re-elected him.

Mia LoveListen to this, because you’re going to hear it from all the “conservatives” who jumped on the GOP (Grand Old Progressives) Party on Tuesday:

“There were no qualified or notable campaigns for speaker within the Republican Party other than John Boehner,” Love said. “Casting a vote for a candidate who has not actively campaigned and does not have the support to be speaker is an indirect vote for Nancy Pelosi, and I will not vote for Nancy Pelosi.”

Oh my god, they’ve even included the wicked witch’s name in the talking points. It took a whole day to write this, so play along…

Mia Love also BS’ed about “playing the long game” when it comes to fighting for conservative principles – this is the best part:

“There will be a time and a place for me to stand as a lone voice of dissension, but the vote for the speaker, is not that place,” Love said.

(THEN)

“For me to be an effective congressman over the next two years it is important for me to be on the side of the elected speaker.”

I don’t know about you, but I’ve heard enough. Next.

Friend me on Facebook – if you dare. No one turned away.

Here’s what Mia Love said about the Congressional Black Caucus in 2012, the year she lost her first U.S. House race:

mia-love_rnc-speechYes, yes. I would join the Congressional Black Caucus and try to take that thing apart from the inside out.

It’s demagoguery. They sit there and ignite emotions and ignite racism when there isn’t.

They use their positions to instill fear. Hope and change is turned into fear and blame. Fear that everybody is going lose everything and blaming Congress for everything instead of taking responsibility.

Well, Rep. Love, who softened some of her rhetoric about the CBC in 2014, saying that change must come “from the inside out,” was among the 46 names called at a ceremonial swearing-in for the group, which hasn’t had a Republican in its midst since Rep. Allen West (Fla.) in 2012.
